The two multiple-choice Cornell Deduction Tests were developed for use in grades 4-12 in a research project that was interested, among other things, in the extent of knowledge of deductive logic among students in grades 1-12. Although developed for research purposes, they are usable in standard classrooms for formative and summative assessment and other teaching purposes. They are called
The Cornell Class-Reasoning Test, Form X and The Cornell Conditional Reasoning Test, Form X (but no other forms were developed). The research report with considerable data is Critical Thinking Readiness in Grades 1-12 (USOE Cooperative Research Project #1680), New York State College of Agriculture, Cornell University, 1965 (ERIC Document # ED 003 818).
