I have a special interest in education, not only in my career but also in my daughter's schooling. My husband, Jim, and I worked with several other parents in the Champaign-Urbana community to start Countryside School, the first non-sectarian private school in the area. It's sometimes hard to believe how quickly the school has grown.
Having a career and being with my family takes up most of my time. I treasure my solitude when I can find it. I walk for exercise, watch "Days of Our Lives" every day, and enjoy good jazz, classical, and carribbean music.
I love vacationing with my family, especially in warm climates. My favorite activities on vacation are walking along the beach, looking out at the ocean, and eating at my favorite restaurants. This year, we will get a chance to visit relatives and mix business with a little pleasure as we attend several conferences in California.
